What Bill Gates Is Doing Now

AI and Public Health Advocacy

Gates has positioned himself prominently in debates around artificial intelligence risks. Recently, he faced criticism from Silicon Valley investor David Sacks over Gates's claims that AI could kill a billion people, illustrating his continued involvement in high profile technology discussions.

Foundation Work and European Investment

The Gates Foundation maintains major initiatives across multiple sectors. Current European developments include billions in investment flowing into space technology and satellite industries, areas where Gates has previously focused foundation resources related to global connectivity and climate monitoring.

Gates remains a central figure in debates over technology's role in addressing global challenges, though his direct operational influence has diminished since his departure from Microsoft's day to day leadership.
