What Happened to Mbs Saudi Arabia
Mohammed bin Salman remains Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia as of 2026, maintaining his position despite significant erosion of international influence.
His influence score has collapsed to 11 out of 100, reflecting diminished geopolitical standing.
Domestic Instability
Security incidents within Saudi Arabia have multiplied. A recent incident involved a Flydubai co-pilot assaulting a captain before landing, with Saudi authorities conducting the initial investigation. These events point to growing institutional vulnerabilities under his leadership.
Défis régionaux
The Kingdom faces persistent threats from Houthi forces, with recent attacks on critical infrastructure including a power station in Medina. While the Saudi led coalition attributes these strikes to Houthis, the ongoing conflict demonstrates MBS has failed to achieve decisive regional dominance. His diplomatic isolation from Iran and limited support networks, reflected in minimal signal volume from Pakistan and other traditional allies, underscore his weakened position in Middle Eastern power dynamics.
