Geopolitisk kontext
Turkey's domestic education policy operates within a broader regional positioning strategy. As the U.S. signals a smaller Middle East footprint, Turkey is ready to step in, expanding its regional influence and institutional capacity. Erdogan playing East and West, winning room to maneuver reflects Turkey's current diplomatic balancing act, which extends to educational and cultural soft power initiatives like university scholarships.
