Why Is Keir Starmer Still Prime MinisterPrime Minister of the United Kingdom

Domestic Governance Challenges

Starmer faces an influence score of just 11 out of 100, reflecting public dissatisfaction with his administration. Recent political turbulence includes the Green Party controversy and shifts in immigration policy, notably the UK and France ending their "one in, one out" Channel migrant exchange deal, indicating difficulty in executing flagship policies.

International Complications

Security concerns have mounted on the international stage. The U.S. recall of B 1 bombers from a UK air base following an alleged attack plot demonstrates strain in bilateral relations and raises questions about domestic security management. These accumulated pressures have eroded his political standing significantly since taking office.
