Domestic Support Constraints
Sisi maintains control through security apparatus rather than broad public backing. Recent media coverage focuses on isolated human interest stories, such as a miraculous child rescue in Egypt, rather than celebrating the president's achievements or initiatives. This pattern suggests limited positive narrative momentum around his administration.
Regional Standing
Egypt's geopolitical relevance has diminished relative to other African powers. While Sisi participated in diplomatic efforts regarding the Ethiopia conflict, he was not among the four African leaders issuing the joint declaration on regional security. This exclusion reflects Egypt's reduced influence in shaping continental responses to major crises, indicating his waning role in African leadership circles.
