현재 역할과 권한
Von der Leyen serves as President of the European Commission since 2019, making her one of the most powerful figures in the EU political structure. She maintains an influence score of 69/100 in current geopolitical assessments. Her tenure encompasses major crises including pandemic response, energy security, and ongoing support for Ukraine.
Recent Policy Direction
The Commission under von der Leyen has allocated 1.24 billion euros to Ukraine for defence industry support, reflecting her administration's strategic commitment to the conflict. Simultaneously, her office faces fiscal pressure as EU debt approaches critical levels, with auditors warning that total debt could hit one trillion euros by 2027. These competing priorities shape her current policy agenda as the bloc navigates security and economic stability.
