Saudara-saudara Abdel Fattah el Sisi
Latar Belakang Keluarga
El Sisi was born in Cairo in 1954 to a middle class family with military and diplomatic connections. His father, Mohamed Zaki el Sisi, served as a senior diplomat. The family maintained a low public profile compared to other Egyptian military dynasties, with Essam remaining largely out of public view throughout his brother's political rise.
Konteks Politik Saat Ini
As Egypt's president since 2014, el Sisi faces mounting regional pressures. Recent developments include an Italian court conviction of three Egyptian agents for the 2016 kidnapping of researcher Giulio Regeni, and escalating concerns over potential conflict spillover from Ethiopia. These challenges reflect the broader instability affecting Egypt's strategic position, independent of family dynamics.
