Why Is Donald Trump on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Donald Trump received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2007 for his work in television, primarily as producer and host of "The Apprentice." The star recognizes his entertainment industry career independent of his political roles.
Entertainment Industry Legacy
Trump's Walk of Fame star predates his 2016 presidential election by nearly a decade. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce awards stars based on contributions to the entertainment industry, and Trump's television production and hosting work qualified him under those criteria before he held elected office.
Current Political Role
Trump is currently serving as President of the United States as of January 2025. His current influence score registers at 100 out of 100, with tracked signals focused on elections, U.S. policy, and international relations including ongoing engagement with Iran and allied nations. Recent policy initiatives include negotiations with South Korea on energy infrastructure and announcements regarding artificial intelligence governance.
