Trasa Air Race 2026

Geopolitical Climate and Competition

Global attention remains heavily focused on strategic technological competition rather than traditional sporting events. For example, "The US and China are racing to build ‘self improving AI’," highlighting a primary area of international contest. This emphasis on critical technology likely diverts resources and focus from large scale recreational or sporting air events.

Fragmented Global Landscape

The current geopolitical environment, marked by a global influence score of 17/100, suggests a challenging landscape for organizing extensive international collaborative events. China's recent criticism of "malicious competition" regarding AI further illustrates existing tensions. Such fragmentation complicates the logistics and sponsorship necessary for a global air race.
